Uranium Cafe: Hipster Paradise with Awesome Drinks

We’ve just found your next date spot. Uranium, located between Zhongxiao Fuxing and Da’an MRT stations, is a chic cafe with a sexy atmosphere and solid drink choices ranging from coffees to cocktails.

Of all the cafes we’ve visited in Taipei, this is one of our favourites.

The interior of the cafe is dark and sexy, with chic decor and comfortable seating. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon near the end of October and immediately felt at ease in the relaxed environment.

There’s also a stylish outdoor seating area that wraps around the cafe. It’s covered (so you don’t have to worry on rainy days) and filled with eclectic pieces of art. This is not your average cafe!

We ordered a Burnt Cream Milk Tea (NT$200) that was delectable. It was hot, velvety, and had just the right amount of caramelized cream on top.

There are a bunch of other basic and inspired coffees, teas, and cocktails on the menu that we’d love to try. The coffees are mostly priced around NT$150 – NT$170, the teas around NT$200. The cocktails start at NT$230 for a URANIUM Coffee Cream and reach NT$320 for the sours.

There are also some tempting food options from creative sandwiches like the Curry Pork Belly (NT$180) to pasta dishes like the Black Truffle Mix Mushroom Risotto (NT$260). They also serve pizzas for NT$300.

We’ll have to wait for our next visit to comment on the food, but we absolutely recommend the drinks and atmosphere.

What’s the vibe?

Chic, dark cafe with cool ambiance and a stylish outdoor seating area.

Worth it?

Yes.

The drinks are good if on the pricier side, and the cafe’s elegant atmosphere offers an enjoyable experience.

Would you go back?

Yes.

Serving a wide range of drinks in a sexy environment, Uranium is an ideal cafe for a date.
