Best Cookies in Taipei at Coffee DPT
We first discovered Coffee DPT when it was located at Huashan 1914 Creative Park, tucked away behind the shops and art exhibits. That patio space and chic counter had us swooning; as we said in our previous post, “In a city thatโs somewhat lacking in good cookies, this cafe blows the competition out of the oven.”
This remains true. Even after Coffee DPT closed down for a few months and relocated to the Zhongxiao Fuxing/Dunhua area, their cookies are still the best we’ve come across in Taipei.
The new cafe is bright, modern, and minimalist, but it is very much on the small side. The above photo shows basically the entire space. There are no tables to sit at — only 2 benches, one of which we were lucky to snag when we visited on a Saturday afternoon. There’s also nowhere to sit outside, so if the cafe has more than a few customers, you’ll have to stand or take your order to go!
Though we weren’t impressed with the size of the cafe, once we started ordering we were reminded why we loved Coffee DPT so much. Their iced Americano ($100) was strong and hit the spot.
In a somewhat odd display, there’s a cluster of cookies lying on the counter that you can look at before deciding what to order. The cookie menu has been updated with new options like double chocolate and red velvet, in addition to the staple oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip varieties we wrote about before.
Just LOOK at those cookies! We had the white chocolate macadamia nut and brownie-filled varieties for $120 each. Still warm from the oven, they were perfectly baked so that the outsides were crispy and the insides were gooey. Once again, we couldn’t for the life of us decide which one we liked better.

What’s the vibe?
Small and sleek cafe with very limited bench seating.
Worth it?
Yes, their cookies are the best we’ve had in Taipei and their coffee is on point! Though we wish they had a bigger cafe with tables and more seating, those warm, gooey cookies are worth returning for.
