Explore the Taipei Art Scene at Huashan 1914 Creative Park
Once an abandoned wine factory, this cluster of warehouses has since been restored and transformed into a vibrant centre for arts and culture. Huashan 1914 Creative Park is home to dozens of boutique shops selling craft and designer items, a theatre for independent films, a concert venue for local performers, and multipurpose spaces that host rotating exhibits.
The heart of Taipei’s art scene has a youthful pulse that peaks on weekends, when the streets fill with creative-types checking out the trendy exhibits, performers playing live music, and both locals and tourists shopping for souvenirs, clothing, jewelry, and housewares. Excitement levels stay high thanks to the events constantly occupying the park (like a beer and whisky festival the day we visited).
There are also plenty of chic restaurants and cafes to keep you energized while you explore. Huashan Creative Park has so much to see – you need to check it out yourself!

The complex is made up of abandoned warehouses that have been restored, making for a fascinating blend of old and new architecture. It’s busy with shoppers and event-goers on weekends, when you can hear live music, attend shows, and explore exhibits. The creative vibes buzz with youthful energy.

Yes.
Though some of the exhibits and events have entrance fees, it’s free to explore the park, and there’s so much to see!
Would you go back?
Yes.
It’s a nice way to spend an afternoon, and there are always new events and exhibits worth returning for.
