Now Available For Visitors: FunPass Taipei

Great news for travellers to Taipei! In an effort to boost tourism, the city just launched the FunPass Taipei, an all-access pass offering unlimited use of public transit and free entrance to popular tourist attractions. The card is available as of yesterday!

There are two different types of passes: unlimited, which includes access to a handful of sites around the city, and transportation-only, for those who don’t need to visit the usual tourist spots.

Each pass includes full usage of Taipei’s incredible public transit systems, allowing unlimited rides on both the MRT and public buses.

In addition to all-access transit, the Unlimited FunPass also grants holders free entrance to some of the cities best attractions, including Taipei 101, the Chiang-Kai Shek Shilin Residence, the National Palace Museum, Taipei Children’s Amusement Park, Miramar Entertainment Park, Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf, and more. Also included are coupons for discounted snacks and drinks at participating locations. These passes can be purchased for 1 day (NT$1200), 2 days (NT$1600), or 3 days (NT$1900).

The Transportation FunPass does not grant entrance to any attractions, but includes the same unlimited access to public transit. It’s available for one, two, three, or five days (NT$ 180, 260, 440, 700).

These passes are convenient for exploring the city, and could save a lot on expenses if used to their full potential.

You can order the card in advance through the official FunPass website (change the language to English in the top-right corner) and pick it up at any of the five Visitor Information Centre locations in the city: Taipei Main Station, Songshan Airport, the Taipei 101 / World Trade Centre MRT Station, Banqiao Railway Station, or the Tamsui Visitor Information Center.

Taipei has never been more accessible to travellers! Why not plan your trip today?
