Fresh Mediterranean in Ximen
Find yourself hungry in Ximen but looking for something a little more wholesome than street food? Check out this Meditteranean cafe just a short walk down the road from the MRT station. It’s fresh, healthy, and delicious.
We visited on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in March, when the first signs of spring had the door and windows flung open to welcome a pleasant breeze.
The restaurant/cafe is small, with only a few stools at the counter, a bench dotted with glass surfaces, and a single table. But its bright, modern decor looks great!
Here’s what we ordered:
The coffee ice cubes with milk (NT$150) were strong. They’re a great option (as long as you’re willing to wait for them to melt!)
The roasted eggplant salad platter (NT$160) with homemade hummus had a delicious assortment of flavours.
The chicken papriksh pita sandwich (NT$160) was excellent and filling.
What’s the vibe?
Modern, breezy cafe with counter-ordering and limited seating.
Worth it?
Yes.
The food was light and tasty, and the ambiance was really nice.
Would you go back?
Yes.
It’s a great option for fresh food near Ximen, and has potential as a nice casual date spot.
