Drip Coffee and Cozy Vibes at Congrats Cafe
Just down the road from Xinye Anhe MRT, there’s a quaint cafe hidden away up a flight of stairs. Congrats Cafe serves antique store vibes with quality coffees and desserts. The comfortable seating and chill atmosphere make it one of the best cafes in the city for curling up with a book.
The charming interior design instantly transports you far away from the city. There’s a collection of unique furniture pieces, shelves lined with books, paintings and photographs covering the exposed brick walls, and comfortable seats for relaxing.
They also have a cute outdoor patio area full of plants!
Sunlight was streaming in through the windows when we visited on weekday afternoon in November. The cafe was quiet and peaceful. We curled up to do some work and ordered coffee and dessert from the friendly staff, who told us about the menu and helped make recommendations.
We tried one of the blended drip coffees for NT$200 and were served a large carafe. It was nicely balanced and tasted great.
For dessert, we indulged in the Banana Pound Cake with Baileys Cream for NT$120. It was totally worth the price and the calories: the cake was moist and the icing was delicious.
What’s the vibe?
Dark wood, cool leather, exposed brick, and rustic bookshelves give this quaint cafe the chillest vibes. The comfortable seating, calm music, and cozy environment make it a great spot to relax.
Worth it?
Yes.
The coffee and the cake were both delectable, and the nice atmosphere made them even more enjoyable.
Would you go back?
Yes.
As the weather cools off, we’re looking forward to a cozy afternoon lounging on the couches with a warm drink in hand.
